An original Flat Tail Shop flower pattern design. This pattern is designed to fit our Pill Frame and is perfect for beginner stained glass artists. No ring saw required.
While this pattern is sized to fit our Pill Frame, it works just as well as a standalone stained glass piece, our frame is not required!
Each pattern includes:

Every light box is designed and handcrafted by us, Spike and Kate. Each piece is made with care using the Tiffany foil method and real stained glass, so no two are exactly alike.
Printed Pattern
The included printed template lets you lay your cut glass pieces directly on the pattern to check sizing and fit before assembly, no guesswork, no surprises.
Sticker Paper
The pattern is also printed on vinyl sticker paper so you can apply it directly to your glass before cutting. Just peel, stick, and score.
Digital Download
A digital copy of the pattern is sent to your email automatically after purchase. Save it, print it again, and come back to this design whenever inspiration strikes.

Local Materials
Local Materials
We source our lumber right here in Austin from Austin Fine Lumber. We are able to hand select our wood from their open warehouse. Once our wood is selected, they mill it to thickness for us, and cut it into boards that fit into the back of our Chevy Trax.
CNC Process
CNC Process
In 2025, we took a leap and invested in a home Shapeoko CNC. Our little cutter has a bed size of 2'x4' and allows us to program paths for the router to follow along a x, y, and z axis.

Everything in our shop is designed or hand-curated by us. Two stained glass artists who know exactly what you're looking for. Whether it's a pattern, a frame, or a finished piece, it comes from our studio to yours.

Making it work for you
The last challenge for our light frames was making something you could put your own work into. So we modified the way the frames are made in such way that glass can be added after electrical, and so that the backing plate is able to be removed easily. We created a PDF template that shows the exact measurements for the shelf so you can make your work to fit!
